Fixing and improving
Although the bike didn’t go down last weekend, I have a few things to fix and improve. One of the seat mounts on the subframe snapped again, so I’ll need to take that to a welder. This time I’ll request some reinforcement of those tabs, since they’ve each broken once now. The clutch was getting really jerky at the start of the last race, so after some outside input, I swapped it out for a new Barnett one. Apparently EBC clutches are crap. Time will tell. I messed with the jetting before last race weekend, going from 168/170 mains down to 165’s. I felt like I had less power so I decided I’d take the bike in for some dyno time and possible re-jetting by Fast Line. I’ll know by early next week.
I’m also going to swap out my entirely too complex video system for a simple mount for my canon powershot. This is what Oliver Rowen (#960) has been doing, and his videos are good enough for web posting, basic analysis of lines, shifting, etc.
